Week 4.
At the beginning of our second week in Moab , Hooligan still had a high temperature. We decided to stay a few more days. We went hiking with the dogs and Ian took the chance to teach Sniff how to climb trees ... what a good Dad.

We also had a chance to entertain , inviting Ians Mum and David over for dinner. As you can see from the picture fun was had by all , especially with the wine flowing , some had more fun than others ... what a good Mum.

Ian was able to spend more time biking and set off on a 30 mile ride ... Sniff decided to follow ... the ride started South of Moab and was very flat to start with but became more rocky later ...

... the rocky hill below was negotiated with great skill until the end when Ian hit a rock and went over the handle bars.

After a few more days Hooligan was better , his temperature was back to normal , he was biting the horse in the next stable and was eating all his food ...

... we were relieved also that he got straight back into his trailor without too much trouble.

With Hooligan better , the bus decided it was time to be sick. Finnigan supervised Ian while he replaced the fuel filter ...

... with the bus fixed we hauled over the Continental divide , crossing at Monarch Pass at 11500 feet.

Once into the Eatern half of the country we stayed in Salida a beautiful town surrounded by 14000ft mountains ...

... Hooligan had a great time in the open spaces and in the river. We really enjoyed Utah but decided that Colorado was at least as good.
